Restaurant Hostess

AURORA BISTRO is looking for an experienced and charismatic host/hostess to be the face of our restaurant. This role goes beyond just greeting guests—it’s about creating an exceptional first impression, managing reservations efficiently, and subtly driving sales by recommending our signature dishes and promotions. If you have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and a keen sense of customer service, we want you on our team.

**Job Requirements**
- Well-groomed, confident, and professional in appearance and demeanor
- Friendly, outgoing, and able to engage with guests naturally
- Fluent in English, Mandarin, and Malay (Cantonese is a plus)
- Prior experience as a host/hostess in F&B or hospitality is required
- Strong ability to manage reservations, coordinate seating, and ensure a smooth dining flow
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills to introduce specials, promotions, and signature dishes
- Proactive and service-oriented, with a natural ability to upsell without being pushy
- Able to handle guest inquiries and resolve minor complaints with professionalism
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and lively environment

**Key Responsibilities**
- Warmly welcome guests and create an inviting first impression
- Manage reservations and coordinate seating to maximize table efficiency
- Promote **house specials, seasonal menus, and signature dishes** to enhance guest dining experience and boost sales
- Recommend **popular cocktails, premium seafood, and exclusive pairings** based on guest preferences
- Work closely with the service and bar team to identify upselling opportunities
- Ensure smooth guest flow and reduce waiting times through effective table management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area
- Handle guest inquiries, provide basic menu introductions, and accommodate special requests
- Monitor guest satisfaction and gather feedback to help improve service
