Lab Technician

In the automotive OEM sector, we are the approved supplier to top German car markets such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. Meanwhile, Sika leads the field in total bonding, sealing, damping, reinforcing and protection solutions for bus, truck and rail vehicle manufacturing, and for the assembly of appliances, industrial equipment and building components.

Sika Kimia Sdn Bhd currently employs more than 340 people in Sales & Marketing, Technical Service, Finance, HR & Administration, Laboratory, Production, Purchasing, Customer Service and Warehouse.
- To maintain/ upgrade adequate skill to perform the work to achieve the efficiency.
- To be familiarized with IMS applicable to Laboratory & implement the procedure as outlined.
- To be familiarized with ESP’s applicable to Laboratory & implement the procedure as outlined.
- Lab cleanliness which include well maintaining of laboratory equipment & apparatus.
- QC routine check on raw materials and finished goods.
PD routine follow-up testing and evaluation.
- Good maintenance in data updating and results recording.
- QC: issuance of quarantines & distribute to relevant department promptly.
- Maintaining/ Dumping of retaining sample from time to time. Including the retaining samples area’s cleanliness.
- Ensure that our products are fulfilled adequately with stated quality and performance parameters with full regard to our legal, environmental and safety obligations.
- Disposal of household wastes e.g.: paper/plastic/ concrete mortar wastes
- Any other tasks assigned from time to time.
- Maintain Sika information with appropriate secrecy and adhere to policies regarding confidential information.
- Maintain confidentiality of formulation at all times.

**Qualifications**
Must possess at least SPM or equivalent; and / or Diploma, added advantage.
**Additional Information**
- At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Patient, hardworking, initiative, dedicated to the work and willing to travel to sites when required.
- Must be able to communicate (oral & writing) in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Able to read and understand the technical procedure.
- Computer literate.
