**MAIN SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB**:
Be responsible for planning, directing, controlling and coordinating the activities of Engineering Department in support of all other operating departments, supplying service to entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Develop standard operating procedures for new tasks or changing conditions, submitting the proposed new procedures to General Manager for approval.

2. Prepare the annual POMEC and FF&E budget based on accurate data about conditions of equipments and hotel’s properties, so that they are all well maintained with reasonable budget.

3. Keeps accurate records and monitor closely all engineering budget expenditures.

4. Control procurement and usage of materials, parts and services.

5. Controls and monitors closely all utility consumption, to ensure optimum energy usage by all departments in the Hotel, notifying the General Manager of areas of utility wastage that could be reduced/eliminated.

6. Works with Purchasing Manager for the most economic purchase of parts and consumables and to write clear and concise purchase requests for each item.

7. Recommended to General Manager changes in existing plant/services and/or the installation of new plant that will result in saving energy.

8. Develops and implements a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for building, guest room, public and service area, all equipment in the hotel, including kitchen and laundry.

9. Plans, coordinates, control, and supervise special projects and employment of outside contractors.

10. Control project works in the fields very carefully and detail, to ensure that the quality of project works is accepted as per company’s standard.

11. Inspects at least twice monthly, the entire building with particular attention to defective or deficient life safety features and to observe closely the condition of all operating equipment. Specific attention must be given to areas of difficult access.

12. Approve and/or prepare maintenance orders, work orders, requisitions, and other inter-office memoranda.

13. Do any other tasks as assigned by superiors.

REQUIREMENT:

- Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering
- A degree/diploma in Engineering or similar
- Has minimum 5 years experience as Assistant Maintenance / Engineering / Technical Services Manager
- Experience at 4 or 5 stars hotel or resort preferred
- Exposure to budgeting and basic accounting
- Positive attitude and Good communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team.
