**Kennel Assistant**

Job Summary: The Kennel Assistant plays an important role in maintaining the well-being, comfort, and cleanliness of animals under the care of the veterinary clinic. This position involves daily animal care, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, and assisting veterinary staff when required.

**Key Responsibilities: Animal Care**:

- Feed, water, and provide basic care to hospitalized and boarding animals.
- Exercise and walk dogs as directed.
- Monitor animals for signs of stress, illness, or discomfort and promptly report to veterinary staff.
- Provide comfort and enrichment (bedding, toys, gentle interaction) where appropriate.

**Kennel & Clinic Maintenance**:

- Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, litter boxes, and surrounding areas.
- Wash food/water bowls, bedding, and other animal-related items.
- Assist with general clinic cleaning tasks such as mopping, trash disposal, and laundry.

**Assisting Veterinary Team**:

- Safely handle animals during examinations, treatments, or procedures (under supervision).
- Support with restraining animals when needed.
- Restock supplies (towels, cleaning agents, food, litter, gloves, etc.).
- Assist with admitting and discharging boarding animals.

**Requirements**:

- Love for animals and willingness to provide compassionate care.
- Comfort working with dogs, cats, and other small animals.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Prior experience in animal care or veterinary setting (preferred but not required).

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,400.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cheras (Hulu Langat, Selangor): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
