Radiation Therapist

To treat patients undergoing radiotherapy in accordance to the treatment plan and dose prescription of the Consultant Clinical Oncologist which involves the operation of a linear accelerator.
- Responsible for patient set-up and radiation dose delivery including patient care.
- To report immediately any suspected equipment malfunction to the Unit Manager / Head Of Planning & QA / Division Director / Consultant Clinical Oncologist.
- To ensure cleanliness of the treatment rooms and machine accessories including changing the linen.
- To organize the daily routine treatment schedule, doctor’s review of patients on treatment and planning schedule for new patients.
- To assist the Consultant Clinical Oncologist in the simulation for radiotherapy treatment of new patients including the use of virtual simulation, computerized treatment planning systems and manual dose calculation and verification using portal films, electronic portal imaging and image guided techniques.
- To make thermoplastic masks for immobilizing patients having head and neck treatments and the fabrication and use of any other appropriate immobilization or positioning device as might be necessary in other situations.

Pay: RM2,300.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
