Facilities Chargeman

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Electrical System Maintenance**:

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution panels, generators, and other critical electrical systems within the hospital.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults or malfunctions in a timely manner.
- Ensure all electrical systems comply with Malaysian regulations and hospital safety standards.

**Operation of Electrical Equipment**:

- Oversee the operation of electrical equipment such as generators, electrical panels, and distribution boards to ensure continuous power supply.
- Ensure the hospital's backup power systems (generators and UPS) are fully functional, tested regularly, and maintained.

**Compliance and Safety**:

- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and local electrical standards.
- Maintain and update all relevant electrical certifications and records.
- Prepare and submit reports on electrical system conditions and maintenance activities to management.

**Coordination and Communication**:

- Work closely with other facility management teams, including mechanical and plumbing teams, to ensure seamless facility operations.
- Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for electrical system repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
- Support the Facility Manager in identifying electrical system improvements or upgrades.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Minimum Diploma / Certificate in Electrical fields.
- Possession of A4 Chargeman certification from the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- Minimum of 2-5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance or facility management within a hospital or similar healthcare facility.
- Familiarity with hospital electrical systems and healthcare facility requirements is an advantage.

**Skills**:

- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian electrical standards and regulations.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams, schematics, and manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
