Contract Specialist

**Location**: Seri Kembangan, Malaysia (with travel across SEA countries)

**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Contract Drafting & Negotiation**: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure terms are fair and aligned with project goals.
- **Risk Mitigation**: Identify and assess contractual risks, propose mitigations, and ensure contract terms minimize potential project risks.
- **Compliance & Governance**: Ensure that all contracts adhere to legal, regulatory, and company compliance standards, especially across different SEA jurisdictions.
- **Contract Administration**: Manage the full lifecycle of contracts, from initial negotiations through execution, amendments, and closeout, including tracking key deliverables and deadlines.
- **Claims & Dispute Resolution**: Lead efforts to resolve claims, disputes, or contract issues in collaboration with project managers and external counsel.
- **Reporting**: Regularly update senior management on the status of contracts, including risks, issues, and key milestones.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or Engineering.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management within EPC, construction, energy, or a related industry, preferably in SEA markets.
- **Language**: Fluency in English.
- **Communication**: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of stakeholders.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Proven ability to negotiate terms effectively and manage contract disputes.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with local regulations across SEA countries.
- Strong understanding of contract law, particularly in the construction and energy sectors.
