Tasks & responsibilities
1. Manage and handle a full set of accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
2. Develop, implement, and maintain effective accounting procedures, policies, and internal controls in compliance with local statutory requirements.
3. Liaise with external parties, including auditors, tax consultants, solicitors, bankers, company secretaries, and other professionals, to ensure compliance with all audit, tax, and statutory obligations.
4. Prepare and post journal entries and general ledger reconciliations and audit related reviews.
5. Record journal entries and reconciliations associated with accounts payable/receivable, tax, payroll, etc.
6. Assist with annual, quarterly, or monthly closing procedures.
7. Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, forecast reports, and external reporting.
8. Work with commission statements, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and/or receivable, and payroll.
9. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
10. Prepare financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
11. Support and complete any ad-hoc requirements (facilitate insurance annual requirement, statistic survey, tax questionnaire)
12. Mentor and support junior accounting staff.
Qualifications & experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. ACCA, CPA or CIMA certification required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably with 1-2 years (s) of managerial experience;
- Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail and resourcefulness;
- Ability to multitask and work independently, demonstrating out-of-the-box thinking and self
- motivation;
- Proactive attitude and strong analytical skills;
- Excellent client relationship and time management skills;
- High integrity, excellent work ethics, and a strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and discipline;
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with a positive attitude;
- Willingness to work in a cloud and fast-paced environment;
- Knowledge of Master Accounting Software is an added advantage;
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
