Job Description

**Job Description**:
Backend Equipment Technician perform electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning equipment used in Backend Process.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Provides Manufacturing and Equipment support needs in a rapidly changing development and high volume manufacturing environment.
- Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, repair manuals, or specifications.
- Performs** **preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting diagnosis on production equipment.
- Resolves non-standard problems, works with mínimal supervision, and can adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Must be a self-starter capable of managing own activities as well as supporting team activities.
- Works with Engineering to support new equipment installations and improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Qualifications:
Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics

Preferred
- Proficient at troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PC software/hardware related issues.
- Ability to use schematics, hand tools, electrical gauges and common test equipment for calibration, diagnosis and repair of equipment.
- Ability to understand PLC system.
- Ability to use vision system will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivator; ability to work independently under general guidance and direction
- High level attention to detail with methodical approach to troubleshooting and project management
- Provide leadership to other technicians through training and mentorship.
- Drive solutions and guidelines by recommending and writing maintenance procedures.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with peers, engineering, and managers.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to monitor equipment performance, diagnose root cause, and drive factory improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of Auto VMI, Auto Labeling and Auto Packing equipment/process would be an added advantage.
