Slaughterman

**Key Responsibilities**:1. **Slaughtering Duties**
- Conduct the slaughtering process by hand or machine in line with **Halal and animal welfare** regulations.
- Verify proper stunning (if applicable) before slaughter to minimize pain and stress.
- Ensure **complete and accurate bleeding** of poultry before proceeding to next stages.

2. **Halal Compliance**
- Perform slaughter in accordance with **JAKIM guidelines** and maintain **valid Halal Slaughterman Certification**.
- Recite **Bismillah** (prayer) before each slaughter where required.
- Maintain knowledge of updated Halal procedures and practices.

3. **Animal Welfare**
- Handle live birds carefully to avoid bruising or injuries before slaughter.
- Observe and report any signs of illness, disease, or unfit poultry to the **Veterinary Inspector**.
- Maintain calm and organized handling to ensure birds are stress-free before slaughter.

4. **Hygiene and Sanitation**
- Follow **Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)** and maintain hygiene at every stage.
- Participate in **daily cleaning and sanitation** of knives, equipment, and workstations.
- Dispose of by-products, blood, and waste in accordance with **environmental safety protocols**.

5. **Safety and Compliance**
- Follow all **Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA)** regulations, including PPE usage.
- Attend **safety briefings and training** programs.
- Report hazards, near-misses, and injuries immediately to the supervisor.

6. **Operational Efficiency**
- Coordinate with shackling, scalding, and evisceration teams for smooth workflow.
- Minimize downtime during shift by preparing tools and monitoring equipment function.
- Keep accurate count of slaughtered birds and complete any required **production records**.

7. **Training & Development**
- Participate in ongoing **training for Halal slaughter certification** renewal.
- Assist in training new or less experienced slaughtermen under guidance.
- Attend company-led training on **animal handling**, **biosecurity**, and **food safety**.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
