Position: Asst Finance Manager (Acting Finance Manager)

Location: HQ Office
Reporting to: Managing Director and Executive Director

Job Purpose:
The Assistant Finance Manager (Acting Finance Manager) is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and effective financial planning to support business growth. This role will function as the highest finance authority in the absence of a Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Develop financial forecasts and budgets, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Monitor key financial metrics and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Assist in formulating strategies for cost control, revenue growth, and financial sustainability.

2. Financial Management & Control
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger management.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all financial transactions.
- Supervise and manage petty cash, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and statutory financial reporting requirements.

3. Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor cash flow to ensure the company has sufficient funds for operations.
- Manage banking relationships and oversee bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and manage payables efficiently.

4. Procurement & Costing
- Oversee procurement processes to ensure cost efficiency and vendor compliance.
- Work closely with suppliers to negotiate favorable pricing and payment terms.
- Monitor and analyze costing structures to improve profitability.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize procurement strategies and control expenses.

5. Compliance & Internal Controls
- Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls and processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, tax laws, and statutory regulations.
- Prepare for and coordinate external and internal audits, ensuring all documentation is in place.

6. Business Support & Leadership
- Provide financial guidance to senior management on business expansion and investment decisions.
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance.
- Lead and mentor finance team members (if applicable), fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

7. Improvement in Company Work Processes
- Identify inefficiencies in financial workflows and implement process improvements to enhance productivity.
- Streamline procurement, costing, and reporting processes to reduce operational costs.
- Leverage technology and automation to improve financial data accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement best practices in financial operations and internal controls.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance overall company efficiency and financial performance.

**Requirements**:
Education & Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent are a plus.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in the F&B or hospitality industry.
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, procurement, and costing.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws.
- Proficiency in financial management software and accounting systems.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently and make financial decisions aligned with business goals.

- This role requires a high level of integrity and accountability, as it involves handling financial decisions in the absence of a Finance Manager.

Eligibility:

- This position is for Malaysian or Malaysian PR only

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
