Develop, implement, and monitor workplace health and safety programs.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Conduct safety inspections and audits of the plant, machinery, and processes.
- Identify hazards and perform risk assessments (HIRA/JSA).
- Investigate accidents, near-misses, and incidents; recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate and lead safety drills (fire, chemical spill, etc.).
- Monitor environmental parameters (air, water, waste, emissions).
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (e.g., ISO 14001, DOE guidelines).
- Oversee waste management, chemical handling, and pollution control measures.
- Prepare environmental impact assessments and sustainability reports.
- Conduct health and hygiene risk assessments (noise, ergonomics, heat stress).
- Coordinate periodic health surveillance and medical checkups.
- Control exposure to occupational hazards (dust, fumes, noise, vibration).
- Conduct ESH induction for new employees and contractors.
- Deliver regular toolbox talks, refresher courses, and emergency response training.
- Promote safety awareness through campaigns, posters, and ESH week events.
- Maintain ESH records (accident logs, safety inspection reports, permits).
- Prepare monthly ESH reports for internal and regulatory submission.
- Ensure proper documentation of MSDS/SDS for all chemicals used on-site.
- Support internal and external ESH audits; close audit findings.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, 5S, etc.).
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Interface with government agencies during inspections (e.g., DOSH, DOE, local councils).
- Obtain and renew required licenses and permits (e.g., scheduled waste, air discharge).
**Requirements**:
- Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
- Certified Safety & Health Officer (SHO) preferred (where applicable).
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
- Strong knowledge of ESH legislation and manufacturing safety practices.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,500.00 per month
