Production Manager

**The Position**:
You will be a key member of the Production Team, and will be responsible for ensuring the overall production meets output targets, complies with safety requirements, and produces outstanding quality products. Your specific role will be to run the production process to cover the transition to 2 shifts and to lead the 2nd Shift (Night). As NT is a young company in a novel industry the shift manager will be required to work closely with R&D, Quality Assurance/Control and Engineering Departments to ensure continuous improvement.

**Key Activities**:
Lead, Monitor & support daily tasks of Production Department:

- Lead & Manage all the activity at Production floor (Raw Material, Tray Line, Harvesting And Insect meal processing (Drying, Gravity sieving, Oil Press, Milling, Mixing and Packing).
- Some key activities at Warehouse (Rearing area) as monitoring & collect data of pest control, development & mortality of larvae & pupae in the trays.
- Discuss issues & improvement in Production (Raw Material, Tray Line, Harvesting & Finish Product) overall processes.
- Liaison & work with the R&D department to implement trialing of new proposed production methods

Other Assignments:

- Liaise in daily activities of operation at Night shift together with Production Manager and Factory Director.
- 5S throughout production area especially area 3,4,5 & 6 (Raw material & THG).
- Pest control lead throughout production area 3,4,5 & 6 (Raw material & THG).
- Productivity and efficiency control, with the target of achieving the parameter and target set for Night shift, especially on area 3,4,5 & 6 (Raw material & THG).
- Maintain the EHS at a high level and identify significant environmental impacts of operations and to establish goals and targets of the company.
- Control the production budget for the night shift team.
- Hiring and training operators to develop workforce capability and ensure they adhere to the work procedures with correct manners.

Standard reporting responsibility:

- Daily production activities plan.
- Daily update on production performance/ KPIs.
- Reporting on any key machinery or process issues to the reluctant teams

**Reporting to**:
You will report directly to the Production manager.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum requirement of relevant Degree / Diploma holder with experience in manufacturing or agriculture with more than 5 years of direct experience in management of a team..
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, Malay or Mandarin both orally and in writing.
- A good level of MS Office and the ability to create datasheets and other document types.
- Workflow & efficiencies, plant layout.
- Production execution, measurement & improvement.
- Experience with food or feed production & handling.
- Knowledge and experience of HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards.
- Strong understanding of EHS standards and regulations.
