We are looking for a proactive Order Desk & Production Planning Specialist for our newly established heavy machinery assembly factory in Seremban - Sendayan Techvalley for the underground load & haul equipment.

The Load & Haul Division, the home of Sandvik loaders and trucks for underground mining business. Here we are safer, stronger, and smarter, as we like to say it. We have been the market leader by accelerating diesel and battery-electric equipment development, with sharpened priorities. We work in close co-operation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions Business Area, to provide the best possible service to our customers. Load & Haul home base is located in Turku, Finland. Additionally, we have operations in Camarillo, USA and Changzhou, China as well in Seremban, Malaysia.

In this position you are primarily responsible to ensure the production schedule goes smoothly to meet on-time delivery & best utilize the Company’s productive capacity as well effective inventory management.
- Key focus on the development & ongoing improvement of planning (best) practices and strategies to meet corporate inventory, business objectives & customer satisfaction goals
- Effective execution of this role will support the realization to drive revenue growth & profitability by keeping expenses within budget, keeping inventory at appropriate levels as well as continuing to look for optimization & cost savings
- To receive forecast & sales order from customer, manage & finalize the order’s delivery in system
- Prepare production schedule & create accurate production order according to forecast, sales order generated via system before communicating with relevant team
- Manage scheduling & timeliness of the production process to meet deadlines
- Allow production process goes smoothly by ensuring appropriate parts are available & ready
- Raw material availability check & ensure things are in place for production usage
- Obtains output information on timely manner (number of finished products, WIP, etc.)
- Collect data/information on the production status / issues for Manager’s attention
- Closing production order & other necessary document by weekly/monthly basis
- Proactively collaborate with production, quality control, warehouse & other stakeholders
- Issue & track work orders, ensure required materials supplied to production floor, as scheduled
- Responsible to schedule according to BOM/ MBOM requirements with purchasing / commodity / supply planning teaM/Function
- Utilize MRP & MS office as the primary tool for planning, scheduling, releasing, & forecasting of material demand. Inventory accuracy must be maintained & tracked
- Build & leverage internal business relationships to enhance value-focused strategies
- Proactively, seeking business optimization and cost savings or new capability and developing data-driven business cases to support their initiatives
- Staying current on industry and market trends and best practices
- Taking EHS and Quality requirements into account at work
- Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered to
- Participate in implementation and understand SAP module S/4 Hana, ARIBA system
- Battery technology background considered an advantage

Your background and what we find important

This role would be ideal for someone looking to further develop and motivated for new challenges to enhance expertise in the production planning and order desk area. As a person you have excellent communication and customer relationship skills, strategic, resourceful and deliver as required, fluent English speaking with a minimum 5 years’ experience in heavy machineries assembly / manufacturing environment or equivalent, familiar with LMW / Bonded Warehouse setup, extensive experience with SAP S/4 Hana & Ariba system utilization related to procurement function, expert of regional supply base, suitable degree or education certificate from technical & vocational institutions.
