**Job Summary**:
The Commis supports the general production line of the Central Kitchen. This includes preparing ingredients (mis-en-place), cooking sauces/soups, and assisting with packing. This is an entry-to-mid-level role focused on consistency and learning the standards of large-scale production.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Food Preparation**:_
- Wash, peel, and chop vegetables and herbs for large-batch cooking.
- Assist in the preparation of sauces, gravies, soups, and marinades following exact recipes.
- Assist the butchery team with basic tasks (e.g., thawing, moving boxes) when required.
- **Production & Packing**:_
- Portion cooked or raw items into bags/containers for outlet distribution.
- Ensure all packages are sealed properly to prevent spoilage during transport.
- Assist in loading items for the logistics team.
- **Cleaning & Safety**:_
- Maintain a clean workstation at all times.
- Assist in waste disposal and general kitchen sanitation.
- Strictly follow personal hygiene and uniform standards.
- **Supplementary Tasks**_:_
- Wash work tables, meat blocks, cupboards, walls and appliances and clean kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils and dishes
- Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff
- Remove and clear kitchen garbage
- Unpack and store supplies in chiller/freezer, cupboards and storage areas
- Help to wash, peel and prepare basic food items
- Any ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the Head of Central Kitchen / superiors
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fresh graduate
Pay: RM2,100.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
