**Job Description**:

- Actively participate in the development of new products to ensure appropriate and timely material release, supplier establishment and inventory systems to support timely product launches
- Collaborate with BU (Business Unit), design engineering, engineering program manager, global commodity manager, global supply manager, buyer and planner, operations to ensure material readiness for a given NPI project
- Provide expansive thought leadership through collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring new products meet cost, quality, functionality, schedule, product launch and production objectives
- Drive team to achieve external product BOM Cost targets by meeting both Should Cost (Target Costs) and PCR costs, including scrub BOM cost and NRE cost quote from supplier
- Ensure programs have the appropriate resiliency to prevent delays due to issues within the Supply Chain
- Work directly with multi-function teams and suppliers to address issues that may impact schedule and supply, including resolving any non-compliant issues prior product launch
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to align on product sourcing plan and cost objectives
- Track new product program expenditures
- Participate in various program related meetings, Program Cost Reviews, etc. as Procurement representative
- Interface with Sourcing Team and Factory Materials to ensure a smooth hand-off of material requirements at product transfer
- Complete deliverables on time at each required program milestone
- Drive dual source and geographic diversity on BOM during NPI stage
- Ensure NPI project is meeting or exceeding KPI goals
- The role will also include additional activities as assigned by your manager

**Qualifications**:

- Proven 5+ years of related materials program management experience with deep understanding of best-in-class procurement business practices
- Recent background (3-5 years) in data storage and related advanced electronics and mechanical components and products, preferred
- Demonstrated “hands on” leader with an eagerness to contribute and deliver results
- Highly collaborative by nature; transparent and open-minded
- Proven data driven problem-solver with a tendency to be practical and innovative
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Consistently work on complex assignments requiring independent action and a high degree of initiative to resolve issues
- Excellent communicator with a strong sense of professionalism with the ability to effectively present at all levels of the organization
- An influencer, able to drive consensus across stakeholders
- Accountable and self-motivated individual with ability to work under pressure with changing priorities and limited information
- Anticipative and strategic thinking
- A strong sense of integrity and dedication to ethical business practices
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Experience with ERP/MRP systems required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field preferred, EE
- Technical Procurement, manufacturing, or component design / development
