Kitchenhand required for **NON-HALAL** western cuisine at Ipoh Garden East
- **Overview of Responsibilities**:_
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
- Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to meet food preparation requirements such as measuring ingredients, monitoring cooking times and temperature, assist to cook/ grill food items to order.
- Assist in garnishing and plating dishes as per the chef's instructions.
- Maintain a clean & organized kitchen workspace in adhering to food safety and quality standard.
- Report any kitchen equipment maintenance or repair needs.
- **Requirements**:_
- Academic qualification NOT necessarily required, but should be able to understand simple English given consideration that the menu and ingredients are in English.
- At least 1 year related experience working in a kitchen, restaurant, or food service setting, have fair knowledge in food ingredients and kitchen equipment.
- Preferably someone that can cook with good sense of food safety & hygiene practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen management.
