Market Research Analyst - Family Care APAC

Market Research Analyst - Family Care is a newly created role to support the Family Care Sector (categories like Bath Tissues/ Facial and Kitchen Towels) for the APAC Region and involves working closely with cross functional teams within APAC Region and the local markets (Marketing, Product Development, Digital, etc)
The role is primarily responsible for executing the market research priorities within the ASEAN/ HK/ TW cluster markets focusing on Family Care Sector of KC and support with reporting and analysis on the brand equity/ market share performance for APAC.
- The role will require working closely with Global MRA functional teams, regional and local marketing teams on the brands innovation, whitespace and commercial programs.
- Work closely with the research partners (Nielsen, Kantar, IPSOS and other local vendors) to translate the business questions into research, information needed, research design. Further, also work with the research findings into compelling presentations insights that drives action.
- This role will require quantitative skills sets in terms of thinking and problem solving strengths will be preferred. Exposure to qualitative is preferred but not a must.
**Geographical scope**:ASEAN/ Hong Kong/ Taiwan
**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
- Lead and review business performance on monthly basis (market share reviews) to identify the gaps/ opportunities for the business and tracking performance of new KC launches/ other competitive action.
- Work with Marketing teams to identify category information needs and establish the appropriate research program aligned to their business needs
- Align on action standards with key stakeholders, information areas, develop and align qnre with agency, analysis plan with agency and partner with them to develop analysis to drive action
- Develop and present actionable learnings and insights and recommendations based on consumer insights.
- Oversee local research programs to ensure consistency, quality and effectiveness.
- Set up good knowledge management practices for APAC and continue to manage it (setting up and archiving of all research learning, share databases, equity tracker, etc)
- Lead the use of emerging and innovative techniques to develop deeper insights and more proactive identification of opportunities.
- Tracking APAC Consumer research spends/ budget and advising on learning plan for markets.

**Internal**:Regional & Country Marketing, Digital & R&E Teams
**External**:Market Research Agencies, Specialist Analytic firms
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**:
**At least 5-6 years of experience in Market Research Consumer & Market Insights with Client/ Agency Side Experience in Research Top FMCG Company. Previous experience of working at both agency and client side preferred **but not a must**.**
- Strong in understanding of brand fundamentals such as segmentations, equity pyramid and product and pricing and ability to develop research hypotheses on business issues.
- Experience and familiarity with online research tools
- Familiarity with Nielsen Retail Measurement & Kantar Household Panel measures would be an added advantage.
**Required Skills/ Ability -**
- Proven ability to integrate research data/ consumer insight knowledge to drive business planning and decisions.
- Good Understanding of marketing strategy (positioning, advertising, NPD) and its implementation.
- Communicate & Collaborate effectively with multi-cultural, multi-location organization both in regional teams as well as local country teams.
- Ability to work with large amount of market and consumer data and drive analytics for consumer insights team.
- Should be very comfortable with making PowerPoint presentations based on synthesis of data and hypotheses setting.
- Should be able to work with multiple vendors and agency partners in different countries to ensure quality standards and best practices are consistently applied.
- Operating with Discipline i.e. ability to deliver as per agreed timelines & standards.
- Newer data tools like PowerBI/ Tableau is not a must but an advantage.
