URGENTLY HIRING - SOUTH INDIAN VEGETARIAN CHEF/COOK
To prepare authentic SOUTH INDIAN VEGETARIAN DISHES to be served at the restaurant.
THE CHEF / COOK SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE IN OVERALL DUTIES IN KITCHEN BACKEND.PREPARE FOOD, MAINTAIN HYGIENE, ORDER SUPPLIES. MANAGING ASSISTANT COOK DUTIES.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Overall responsibility for the kitchen’s daily operations including cooking, ingredients preparation, packing, cleaning works, etc.
2. Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.
3. Exhibits culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions and events.
4. Supervises all kitchen areas and staffs to ensure a consistent, high quality product is produced.
5. Cultivate an environment of cooperation and respect between co-workers.
6. In charge of procurement of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages.
7. Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly.
8. Comply with all health, safety, and operation regulations.
Job Requirements:
1. Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in the food catering industry.
2. Well experienced in Indian Cuisine.
3. Must be able to work on weekends and on public holidays.
4. A professional attitude with strong work ethic and communication skills.
5. Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Tamil would be a plus
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
