Quality Assurance

**Job Summary**:
The QA Executive is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality and food safety standards across the cold chain logistics process for food and beverage products in Malaysia. This includes monitoring warehouse and transport operations to ensure compliance with Malaysian regulatory requirements (such as **MeSTI**, **GMP**, **HACCP**, and **Halal** standards), and international food safety guidelines. The role requires a hands-on approach to risk management, continuous improvement, and stakeholder coordination to ensure integrity throughout the cold chain.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:
**Quality Assurance & Compliance**:

- Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) aligned with **MeSTI**, **HACCP**, **ISO 22000**, and **Halal** certification requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local laws such as those from the **Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH)** and **Food Act 1983** and **Food Regulations 1985**.
- Support internal and external food safety audits, certification renewals, and customer compliance programs.

**Inspection & Monitoring**:

- Monitor cold chain logistics activities including storage, loading/unloading, and transportation of temperature-sensitive products.
- Validate that chillers, freezers, refrigerated trucks, and data loggers maintain correct temperature thresholds (e.g., frozen: -18°C or below; chilled: 0°C to 4°C).
- Conduct daily checks on equipment calibration and monitor performance of temperature monitoring systems.

**Documentation & Reporting**:

- Maintain and update QA documentation including checklists, inspection logs, CAPA reports, and traceability records.
- Investigate product deviations, cold chain breaches, and customer complaints, and recommend appropriate corrective/preventive actions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly QA performance reports for management and regulatory review.

**Training & Continuous Improvement**:

- Conduct food safety and hygiene training for warehouse and logistics personnel in line with Malaysian food handling guidelines.
- Promote continuous improvement initiatives such as reducing temperature excursions and enhancing packaging and handling practices.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive implementation of improvement plans in coordination with operations and transport teams.

**Stakeholder Coordination**:

- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, transport teams, and 3PL vendors to ensure alignment on quality standards.
- Work with **JAKIM** (for Halal certification), **MOH**, and third-party auditors as required.
- Liaise with customers regarding quality expectations, audits, and incident resolutions.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Logistics Management, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in **HACCP**, **ISO 22000**, **Halal Executive**, or **GMP** (preferably issued by accredited Malaysian bodies such as MOH, JAKIM, or MQA-recognised institutions).

**Experience**:

- 3-5 years of quality assurance experience in cold chain logistics or the food & beverage sector in Malaysia.
- Familiarity with Malaysian regulatory frameworks for food safety, Halal logistics, and customs import/export handling.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of cold chain requirements, hygiene standards, and quality control procedures.
- Proficient in using MS Office, warehouse management systems (WMS), and digital cold chain monitoring tools (e.g., RFID, IoT sensors).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills in **English** and **Bahasa Malaysia**; knowledge of **Mandarin** is an added advantage.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a dynamic logistics environment.

**Other Requirements**:

- Willingness to travel to multiple warehouse and logistics locations within Malaysia.
- Ability to work in cold environments (chillers and freezers) and conduct physical inspections.
- Possess a valid driving license and own transport is preferred.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,576.16 per month
