**JOB SUMMARY**

To assist and provide support to Head of Sub-Unit for asset maintenance services of water treatment plant. This includes manage, lead, plan, strategize and organize electrical teams for the smooth and efficient maintenance operation for M&E Production Northern Region.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Primary Duties**
- To carry out switching & isolations of electrical equipment up to 11kV/33kV system voltage.
- Planning, implementation & co-ordination of major & overhaul work for electrical equipment.
- Monitoring, supervision of electrical installations to ensure all are in compliance with relevant statutory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the technician to carry out preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of all electrical equipment in accordance to schedule and timeframe. Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work.
- To ensure proper insulation and protection of all electrical High Voltage equipment.
- To guide and supervise the technician during perform maintain, repair and overhaul all electrical components in water treatment plant according to O&M manual or national and local electrical codes.
- Liaise with TNB on any electricity problems and ensure the electricity supply to treatment plant, intake and dam / ORS are uninterrupted.
- To perform work efficiently in trouble shooting method with good understanding in production and operating system

**Other Responsibilities**
- To carry out other duties as ordered by the superior from time to time including duties outside the scope of works especially during crisis or ERP.
- To be able to use the Maintenance / Inventory computerised system in his section. Highlight problems & identify suitable enhancement to the system. Job reporting and updating of record for maintenance work through the computer.
- Obtain measurement and reading for maintenance records using electrical and mechanical testing instrument, including digital multi meter, megger, ampere, ohm and phase rotation meter.
- Examines various electrical systems and makes recommendations for new equipment, repairs, and modifications.
- Attends to machine breakdown as well as any issues arises at the plant and report accordingly to superior.
- To work closely with Production team on electrical isolation before action being carried out, equipment repairs status & safe operating procedure of the equipment. To carry out installation, modification & testing of equipment when necessary.
- Maintain & up keeping of electrical unit tools & equipment to ensure only safe tool are being kept and used.
- To ensure that critical electrical spares are available at store and to inform superior on the necessary part replacement for spares. Assist in technical inspection of incoming electrical parts, verification of quantity ordered and delivered, the spare meet the specification and requirement.
- To give regular feedback to superior for equipment repair / maintenance status including providing electrical equipment specifications & resources planning.
- To accept the responsibilities when transferred to other Sections or Departments from time to time as may be directed by the Management as part of the multiskilling training or exposure.
- Other duties as needed or required.

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**

**_Minimum Qualifications: _** Professional Certificate: Chargeman B0/B4 (Registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga).

**_Experience: _**5 to 10 years in related field.

**_Knowledge:_**
- Possess knowledge in technical Standard Operating Procedure for HV switching.
- Basic Knowledge in Microsoft Office Application -Experience in Low Voltage equipment trouble shooting.
- Able to read electrical circuit diagram
- Familiar with the installation specification, testing, operating and maintenance of electrical equipment.

**_Skills_** **_(professional, technical, managerial, practical):_**
- Good experiences in operation and maintenance of control system, process, maintenance works, etc.
- Good experience in trouble shooting and solving of electrical equipment such as starter-board, switchgear, transformer control system, motor, dc supply, generator, etc.

**_Abilities:_**
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- To work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Highlight problems & identify suitable enhancements to the system.
- Able to multi-tasking, possess strong organizational and time management skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
