Site Safety Supervisor

**Project**:
Upgrading the Railway Infrastructure and System at Klang Valley Double Track Phase 2. (KVDT 2)

**Reports To**:
Safety & Health Officer / Manager Safety and Health

**Liaises with**

All staff, Consultants, Sub-Contractors and others (as required / approved by Head of Department or KVDT 2 Management)

**Based At**:
Dhaya Maju LTAT Sdn Bhd (KVDT 2 Project Office) - Taman Kajang Sentral, 43000 Kajang, Selangor, Malaysia.
Job Purpose:
Assist, Promote & Enforce in implementation on all aspect of the KVDT 2 Project Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Management & IS045001 System requirements and required regulations as per OSHA 1994 or FMA 1967 or others.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Enforce compliance of KTMB038, KTMB039, KTMB040, CIDB GREENCARD or any other required Safety Procedures & System for personnel & machineries working in KVDT 2 project;
- To comply & adhere to all matters pertaining to Quality, Safety, Health and Environment related to the job scope and work place as required by the company.
- Coordinate periodic site Safety Toolbox Briefings by Subcontractors Supervisors to further improve & inculcate safe working practices to Construction Teams.
- Enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE's) implementation & conduct Monthly Safety Equipment Inventories;
- Conduct Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) Inspections with Sub-Contractor’s Safety Representative on work areas, make observations, records and reports the inspection findings to Manager Safety and Health and then follow-up on the necessary improvement actions to ensure that safe working practices compliance;
- Conduct periodic workers’ Welfare & Health Facilities Inspections (accommodations, canteen, toilets, mosquito control management, etc.);
- Participate and assist in Ad-hoc Workplace Safety Walkabout / OSH Inspections & Audits carried out by Safety & Health Officers/Manager Safety and Health;
- Assist Safety & Health Officers/Manager Safety and Health in conducting Internal Occupational Safety & Health Audits at the project sites and on the sub-contractors;
- Assist Site Supervisors & Subcontractors Safety Representatives in Incident / Accident Investigations; check their reports and follow-up on Corrective & Preventive control measures implemented;
- Assist in OSH Training & Orientation session on regular basis throughout the construction period;
- Assist the ERT & Traffic Management team during any emergencies/crisis or for safe in line with the project Emergency Response Plan (ERP) respectively when required;
- Assist Safety & Health Officer / Manager Safety and Health in preparation & submission of Monthly OSH Management data for preparation of KVDT 2 Project Monthly Safety Reports;
- Assist & provide data to Safety & Health Officers/Manager Safety and Health in keeping & monitoring, notification of Project Safety Performance Statistics on Incident, Occupational Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences at the place of work;
- Assist Safety & Health Officers/Manager Safety and Health in organizing and implementing project Safety Promotion Programs or Safety Campaign;
- Liaise with Sub-contractors’ Safety Representative on OSH matters on regular basis;
- Any other duties (related to OSH) that Safety & Health Officers/Manager Safety and Health or the Management might assign that from time to time.

**Experience**:

- Fresh graduate or minimum 1 year working experience in safety management.
- Experience in railway track/or construction works shall be an advantage.

**Educations/Qualifications**:

- Minimum SPM, with attendance certificates in Occupational Safety & Health training's for SSS by registered bodies
- Registered with DOSH as “Site Safety Supervisor”.

**Personal Qualities**:

- Able to work independently,
- Communicate effectively in BM & English
- Able to write reports and liaise with others in OSH matters.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,700.00 per month
