**Responsibilities**:
**THE ROLE**:
This is a lead engineering position responsible for Product Engineering program technical planning for next-generation AMD microprocessors. This individual serves as a critical technical point of contact to the business, design, platform validation and product engineering teams. **THE PERSON**:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Leads product development group’s efforts to characterize the product to customer specifications
- Solves sophisticated, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/ methods and leads development and implementation
- Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues-
- Perform platform reviews (design, block-level, schematic, and layout review) and provide solutions to customers.- Enhance platform design documents and customer training material to improve overall customer design skill.- Analytic ability to address technical issues and generate creative solutions.

**PREFERRED EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience being accountable for results for multiple products or large projects, as well as for management of interdependencies with related areas
- Experience with being responsible for projects or processes of significant technical importance and for results that cross engineering project areas- 10+ years of h/w development experience in the computing industry, at the OEM, ODM, or technology provider level- Strong technical skills with extensive hands-on experiences in performing schematics and PCB design, EMI and Signal Integrity analysis, system design optimization. Strong knowledge in the following fields: PC/Server/DCGPU architecture,- x86 processors, DDR, PCIE, SATA, USB, multiprocessor systems, and power management- Experience in working with global customers and enabling them to production- Demonstrated ability to grasp new technical concepts quickly.- Ability to influence horizontally across multiple internal functional organizations.- Team player with passion and will to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive- Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results- Fluent in both written and spoken Mandarin and English

**ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS**:

- Bachelors or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
