Sourcing Executive

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Monitor job progress and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for direct/indirect materials (e.g., raw materials, components, MRO)
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet the organization's material needs, considering cost, quality, lead times, and risk.
- Identify, evaluate, and select potential suppliers, negotiating contracts and establishing relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring they meet quality, delivery, and cost requirements.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to identify opportunities for cost reduction and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. resolve performance issues proactively.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers.
- Lead supplier identification, qualification, and evaluation processes
- Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to align material specifications and sourcing decisions.
- Manage inventory levels to minimize costs and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Support new product development (NPD) by sourcing materials for prototypes and scaling production.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, such as vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing, or alternate sourcing strategies.
- Monitor and analyze material costs to identify areas for improvement. Track and report savings against organizational targets
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, RoHS) and ethical sourcing practices.
- Promote sustainable sourcing initiatives and supplier diversity programs.
- Monitor supply chain risks (geopolitical, logístical, supplier financial health) and develop contingency plans.
- Diversify supplier base to minimize disruptions.
- Utilize ERP systems and analytics tools (Excel, Power BI) to track KPIs (OTD, quality, cost savings).
- Maintain accurate supplier and material data records.

**COMPETENCIES**:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong supervisory and leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
- Proven ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies for both direct and indirect materials (e.g., raw materials, components, MRO).
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and analytics tools such as Excel and Power BI.
- Ability to effectively analyze supplier performance and resolve issues proactively to ensure quality, delivery, and cost compliance.
- Preferably Mandarin literate to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams (Production, Engineering, Quality) and suppliers.
- A proactive approach to cost-saving initiatives and process improvements (e.g., vendor consolidation, bulk purchasing).
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to mitigate supply chain risks and minimize disruptions.
