**Project Manager (ECRL Project) Position**: Project Manager
**Location**: Malaysia (East Coast Rail Link project sites)
**Reports to**: General Manager
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Project Leadership & Delivery**:
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of assigned ECRL project packages in line with contract requirements, timelines, and budget.
- Ensure alignment with overall ECRL project master schedule and milestones.
- Drive safety, quality, and productivity standards across project teams and subcontractors.
- **Stakeholder & Regulatory Management**:
- Act as the primary liaison with the client (MRL), consultants, local authorities, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with CIDB, DOSH, DOE, and other Malaysian regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with government agencies, utility providers, and local communities to resolve site-related issues.
- **Contract & Commercial Management**:
- Oversee contract administration, variation orders, claims, and progress payments.
- Monitor project costs, cash flow, and profitability, ensuring effective risk and claims management.
- **Team & Resource Management**:
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team including engineers, planners, QS, and site supervisors.
- Allocate manpower, equipment, and resources efficiently.
- Mentor and develop project staff, ensuring knowledge transfer and capability building.
- **Project Monitoring & Reporting**:
- Track project progress against schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Prepare regular reports for management, clients, and stakeholders.
- Implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum **10-15 years of project management experience** in large-scale infrastructure (preferably rail, highways, or mega civil projects).
- Proven track record managing EPC/Design & Build contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian construction laws, CIDB guidelines, and HSE regulations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multicultural teams, and travel frequently along the ECRL alignment.
- Professional certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) are an added advantage.
- Fluency in **English, Malay, and Mandarin** is preferred due to diverse stakeholders.
