**Position Summary**:
**Principal Responsibilities**:

- Supervise daily activities of Line Leaders and Production Operators in the department to achieve quality, labour standards and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
- Ensure that all operations carried out are within the specifications as written in the procedures and work instructions
- Hold direct reports accountable for not following company’s policies and procedures.
- Plan resources to achieve production schedules issued by Production Planner.
- Monitor and improve department’s performance in reducing waste, improving efficiency and quality of output at all operations.
- Ensure that process parameters are within validated control limits. Liaise with Process Engineers and Quality Engineers when equipment or process parameters are out of control.
- Schedule the repair of equipment.
- Train all direct reports and ensure certifications are in place for their areas of responsibility and they are constantly improving their skills in performing their job.
- Ensure that all reports and quality records are accurate, reviewed and signed off per GDP requirements.
- Ensure that all operators handling tools and machines are properly trained to use them.
- Develop and coach quality awareness and teamwork among all production and support employees.
- Perform performance evaluations of subordinates reporting to him / her.
- Take the lead in improvement of quality, production and process activities; spending time on the lines to recognize current performance and opportunities for improvement.
- Maintain departmental spending within budget.
- Upkeep and maintain production areas using 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Upkeep and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure safety practices are followed according to company guidelines.
- Perform any other relevant and related responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time as required by superior.

**Education / Experience Requirements**:

- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electrical Engineering OR Business Management.
- Minimum 5 years working experience as supervisor in manufacturing environment.

**Specialized Skills / Other Requirements**:

- Must be able to communicate fluently (written and verbal) in English and Malay Language.
- Possess excellent human relations and mentoring skills
- Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently with strong leadership qualities.
- Understand equipment automation and robotic engineering.
- Practices Lean manufacturing principles.
