**Description**:
Commissioning Chemist Technician is required to work as part of the Project Commissioning Team who will monitor the process water and steam cycle chemistry and perform field collection ofvarious samples and analysis for the 130MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine In Kulim Hi Tech Park (“Project AURORA”) Malaysia.

**Qualification & Experience:

- +5 years of experience.
- Degree in Chemistry.
- Experience of Combined Cycle Power Project operation a pre-requisite for the position with clear understanding of HRSG water and steam cycle chemistry and Open & Closed cooling water chemistry
- Must be familiar with all test equipment and methods necessary to laboratory testing.
- Ability to read and interpret laboratory test results.
- Knowledge of Power Plant system requirements
- Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations.

**Duties:

- **

Chemist technician shall be capable of performing the following tasks:

- Monitor the HRSG water and steam chemistry and advise the commissioning operations team on boiler chemical dosing rate and where necessary blowdown rates to maintain water and steam quality.
- Montor water treatment process and where necessary instruct commissioning operations team to adjust chemical dosing rates to ensure process is within the design parameters including where applicable,
- Clarifiers
- Multi Media Filters
- MF/UF
- RO Unit
- Mixed Bed Polishers
- Monitor RO performance and instruct operations team when CIP is required.
- Monitor water quality during system flushing and where necessary passivation is
performed.
- Have a clear understand the project waste emissions limits and ensure the plant is operated within these limits and advise commissioning operations team and commissioning manager when the plant is operating outside these limits.
- Monitor open cycle cooling water system water quality and adjust chemical treatment to maintain water quality within design parameters. Where necessary instruct commissioning operations team to increase or decrease Cooling Tower blowdown.
- Monitor closed cycle cooling water system water quality and adjust chemical treatment to maintain water quality within design parameters.
- Have a strong working relationship with selected chemical supplier and local laboratory to obtain water analysis reports with particular attention to the wastewater analysis.
- Review and advise on HRSG Chemical cleaning procedure and post cleaning preservation.
- Maintain detailed record of all system water quality.
