**Teaching & Choreography**
- Plan and conduct dance lessons tailored for lower secondary and upper primary students.
- Teach various dance genres, such as contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, ballet, cultural dances, or other styles suitable for students' abilities.
- Choreograph original dance routines for individual classes and for the school’s yearly dance recital, ensuring creative, age-appropriate, and skill-enhancing performances.

**Curriculum Development & Lesson Planning**
- Develop lesson plans that align with the curriculum for dance, ensuring progression in technique, creativity, and confidence.
- Create a **Scheme of Work (SOW)** outlining learning objectives, outcomes, and assessment methods for the entire term or academic year.
- Evaluate students’ abilities and progress through continuous observation, assessments, and formal evaluations.

**Student Feedback & Improvement**
- Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance and offer guidance for improvement.
- Design activities and exercises that challenge students while building upon their current skills, promoting both individual and group growth.

**Concert & Recital Planning**
- Lead the planning and coordination of the school’s yearly dance recital, from concept development to final performance.
- Collaborate with other performing arts teachers and staff for concert themes, set designs, costumes, and music selection.

**Dance Teacher Job Requirements**
- **Educational & Certification Requirements**:

- Relevant dance teacher certification (e.g., **Diploma or Degree in Dance, Dance Education, or a related field**).
- Professional certification or training in multiple dance styles (e.g., **Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, etc.**).
- Additional teaching qualifications (e.g., **PGCE, Certificate in Education**or other recognized teaching certificates) are an advantage.
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience in **producing and choreographing dance recitals, performances, or musicals** for students.
- Experience teaching dance to lower secondary and upper primary students, preferably within a school or academy setting.
- Background in **working on live performances, annual concerts, or large-scale productions** that involve student participation.
- **Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong **choreography skills** with the ability to adapt to different dance styles and levels.
- Excellent **communication and interpersonal skills** to effectively engage students, parents, and staff members.
- **Physical strength and endurance** to demonstrate movements, conduct lessons, and handle long rehearsals.
- Creative, with an eye for innovative and captivating choreography for school recitals.
- Ability to provide **clear and constructive feedback** to students, encouraging their artistic and personal growth.
- **Personal Qualities**:

- **Patience** and understanding, especially when teaching younger students.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
