Electricians fit and repair electrical circuits and wiring systems. They also install and maintain electrical equipment and machinery. This work can be performed indoors as well as outdoors, in nearly every type of facility. Perform assembly builds of the printing machine per schedule, required specifications and work instructions. - Test products or subassemblies for functionality or quality. - Check parts and components given is defect free and in compliance with work instruction. - Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity. - Assist engineers in developing, building, or testing prototypes or new products, processes, or procedures. - Upkeep of tools and equipment being used. - Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to customer specifications. - Keep production logs. - Maintain inventory of job materials - Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. - Cutting, bending, and stamping sheet metal in accordance with design instructions. - Installing and assembling sheet metal products, using joining techniques such as welding, bolting, clinching nut and riveting. - Install metal sheets with supportive frameworks. - Ability to use hand tools including tape measure and sheet metal gauge micrometre. - Build packaging for finished products. - Ability to use power tools including hand shear and portable drill. - Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
