Chargeman A4, Operational Services Department

**JOB SUMMARY**:

- Inspect, monitor, and carry out work, tasks and projects related Condition Based Monitoring (CBM) for yearly approved scheduled and unscheduled sites of pump houses and water treatment plants.
- Execute periodic scheduled-predictive maintenance scope, further in charge in the specific equipment or pump operation which is needs handling from competent person and any hands on related to electrical - online/live further verification upon any findings.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To prepare routine CBM task finding report especially scope needs handling by Electrical competent person/chargeman to be compiled and verified by superior for submission to the management.
- To be a leader among team members or technicians on carrying out assessment of live electrical equipment condition based on the Thermography, Power Transformer Oil sampling, Motor Analyzer, Ultrasound and Partial Discharge Detection Test.
- Involves in assessment of mechanical equipment condition based on the Vibration Analysis, Pump Performance Test and Laser Alignment.
- In charge in the operation of pumpset during CBM routine task, where On / Off for pumpset needed or when hands on related to electrical - online/ live further verification needed upon any findings.
- Plan and able to conduct any other on-site independent testing as required with supporting tools - electrical multimeter and ampmeter clamp.
- Apart from periodic - predictive maintenance scope in-house testing for pumping, electrical/mechanical equipment at selected/scheduled site installation also responsible for site inspection upon emergency /unscheduled request.
- To execute all Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) work scope consist of Vibration, Thermography, Pump Performance, Motor Analyzer, Ultrasound, Partial Discharge detection as well as Laser Alignment for electrical and mechanical system for pump houses and water treatment plants to ensure all equipment are verified to be functioning accordingly. Then key in the data in WAMS and issue Work Request if there any finding found on the asset.
- To supervise data uploading in TAMS-WAMS and Work Request issuance if there is any finding found on the particular asset to respective maintenance manager or planner for further action.
- Monitor for any abnormality especially in electrical which also related to safety reason and early assessment before carrying out duty and tasks, analysis, breakdown histories and prioritization.
- Helps superior in preparing guideline and procedure for Reliability Monitoring & Condition Assessment Unit
- Compile all data related to manufacturer rated specifications, aging, lifespan, current condition and others in other for supporting info for CBM report preparation.
- Involve and monitor tasks especially at site, carried out in compliance with the Energy Commission and Energy Management regulations.

To undergo and pass all certification of competency examinations certified by recognized organization or institute:

- Thermography
- Vibration Analysis
- Ultrasound Detection
- Partial Discharge

Any other assignments as instructed by Superior / Head of Unit (HOU) / Head of Section (HOS)

**PERSON SPECIFICATION**:

- Low Voltage Chargeman (A4) - certification under Energy Commission (EC) / _Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST)_
- 1-3 years of experience in the related field.
- Strong knowledge and background in Electrical especially compliance to Electrical Regulations and Mechanical line of work which includes safety for both
- Familiar with the installation specifications, testing, operating, maintenance, as well as commissioning of electrical & mechanical equipment.
- Knowledgeable in basic principle of the electrical & mechanical system
- Knowledgeable in basic principle of the electrical system, knowledge in constitutive equipment of electricity, HT/LV system, induction motors, generators, and water supply
- Well versed and hands on knowledge in Corrective, Preventive and Predictive Maintenance scope.
- Computer literate
- Hands on
