Machinist/setter

Set up and operate CNC or type of cutting tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Select appropriate tools and materials for machining tasks.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting on machines.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and report any issues to supervisors.
- Communicate any issues, changes, or suggestions to team members and supervisors effectively.

Job Specification:
At least 2-years’ experience:

- know basic CNC programming code, GDNt, type of cutting tools.
- knowledgeable in jig/ fixture
- knowledge in setup CNC machine. (Datum, tools offset, dialing, squaring, round out, input prog)
- update progress/prod output, (cycle time, setup time)
- punctuality and discipline on task given
- monitor n training operator daily production output.
- 5s.
- knowledge in equipment for quality control. (Vernier caliper, dial gauge, micrometer, high gauge, pin gauge, block gauge)

Able to converse and written in English & Malay language;
Able to read and understand technical drawing;
Familiar with QC tools;
Have knowledge in CAD-CAM is a plus point.

Knowhow on programming language such as G code and M code.

Ability to setup machine and machine operation.

Basic mechanical knowledge and safety awareness.

Minimum SPM / technical certificate or equivalent qualification.
