Factory / Plant Manager

Key Responsibilities

As a key leader in our manufacturing facility, you'll be instrumental in driving operational excellence and achieving our business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

- **Overall Factory Management**: Take charge of all aspects of factory operations, including production, safety, quality, cost, and delivery, to ensure we meet our annual business targets efficiently.
- **Lean & Efficiency Optimization**: Champion **Lean Manufacturing** and **Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)** to continuously improve efficiency. You'll work closely with the General Manager to oversee safety and production, ensuring excellence in product output, quality, consumption, safety, equipment, and processes.
- **Quality Assurance & Compliance**: Rigorously enforce the **IATF 16949 quality management system**, guaranteeing that all products consistently meet stringent customer and industry standards.
- **Cost & Budget Control**: Develop, monitor, and manage factory budgets. You'll focus on optimizing production costs, reducing energy consumption, and managing inventory levels to achieve significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
- **Team Leadership & Development**: Build and lead a high-performing management team. You'll also be responsible for enhancing our employee training programs and fostering a positive, safe, and productive workplace culture.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Work seamlessly with R&D, procurement, sales, and other departments to streamline supply chain processes and ensure rapid responses to customer demands.
- **Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)**: Implement and uphold our safety production responsibility system. You'll promote green manufacturing practices and ensure the factory strictly adheres to all **EHS standards**.

Educational Background:
You should possess a **college degree or above in a science and engineering field**. This foundational education is crucial for understanding the technical aspects of manufacturing and quality control.

Work Experience:

- **Familiar with the IATF 16949 quality management system** specific to the automotive industry.
- **Knowledgeable about the audit processes for core customers**, especially Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).

Professional Knowledge:
Your professional expertise should include a strong understanding of various quality management system standards:

- **ISO 9001**: A widely recognized international standard for quality management.
- **IATF 16949**: The technical specification for quality management systems in the automotive sector.
- **VDA 6.3**: A German automotive industry standard for process audits.

Core Competencies:
Beyond formal knowledge, you need strong practical skills to excel in this role:

- **Production Planning and Scheduling**: Efficiently organizing and managing production timelines.
- **Equipment Management**: Overseeing the maintenance, operation, and optimization of machinery.
- **Cost Control**: Implementing strategies to minimize expenses and maximize efficiency.
- **Lean Improvement Tools**: Proficient in methodologies like:

- **5S**: A system for organizing workplaces for efficiency and effectiveness.
- **Six Sigma**: A data-driven approach to eliminate defects and improve processes.
