Crane Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. The operator is responsible for the safety of the crane operation as soon as the load is lifted clear of the group, because of this responsibility, whenever there is reasonable cause to believe that the lift might be dangerous or unsafe, the operator must refuse to lift the until the concern has been reported to the supervisor, any hazard are rectified, and safety condition are met.
2.Knowing the machine well. The operator must understand its function and limitation as well as its particulars characteristic.
3.Being familiar with the crane’s load chart. The operator must understand the correct meaning of all notes and warning and be able to calculate of determine the crane’s actual net capacity for every possible configuration of machine.
4.Informing the management of any problem, needed maintenance, or necessary repairs to the machine. This should be done in writing, preferably in the machine’s log book or inspection report.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
1.Education: SPM
2.Specialized knowledge: The operator must understand its functions and limitations as well as its operating characteristics.
3.Skills:
i) Having a thorough knowledge of the information contained in the crane’s operating manual.
ii) Inspecting and maintaining the crane’s operating manual.
iii) Being familiar with the crane’s load chart.
4.Professional certification: Certified as Crane Operator certified by DOSH, OGSP by NIOSH and CIDB Card.
5.Experienced with ISO certificate is an added advantage.
6.Can start immediately is an added advantage.
**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
