Technician

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in an industrial, automotive, or heavy metal manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, sensors, wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Hands-on experience with heat treatment equipment and processes (e.g., quenching, tempering) is highly preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a high-paced production setting.
- Familiarity with maintenance tools, diagnostic equipment, and industrial safety practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals.
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Respond to operational needs promptly.
- Basic understanding of PLC systems (e.g., Omron, Siemens, or Mitsubishi) is an added advantage.
- **Proficiency in Mandarin** is an added advantage, due to regular communication with our JV partner technical personnel in China

**Responsibilities**:
**Installation & Commissioning**
- Support the setup and commissioning of production machinery, including heat treatment systems and heavy-duty manufacturing equipment.
- Ensure proper calibration and alignment of mechanical and electrical components during installation.
- Assist in equipment layout planning and utility requirements (air, power, cooling water, etc.).

**Maintenance & Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure consistent machine performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment logs.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and implement long-term solutions.
- Conduct basic PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) checks and interface troubleshooting.
- Coordinate with vendors for specialized maintenance and calibration.

**Production Support**:

- Provide technical support to production teams to ensure smooth operations
- Optimize equipment settings and suggest improvements to enhance process efficiency and product quality.
- Assist in developing maintenance schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor equipment performance KPIs and initiate actions when targets are not met.
- Support tooling and jig maintenance where necessary.

**Continuous Improvement & Safety**:

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing equipment reliability and production efficiency.
- Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Identify and report potential hazards or operational risks in the workplace.
- Support 5S, Kaizen, and TPM activities within the plant.
- Ensure compliance with IATF16949 standards (if applicable).

**Salary & Benefits**:
1. Salary between RM4,000 - RM6,000 depending on relevant working experience.

**Experience**:

- IATF16949 Quality Management System: 3 years (preferred)
