**Location**:EPIC Communities Sdn Bhd, Ara Damansara
**Start Date**: Immediate
**Contract**:Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (1 Year) with opportunities for permanent employment.

As a Placemaker, you will play a vital role in supporting participatory and community-forward projects, enhancing public spaces and fostering community engagement. You will assist in the design, planning, and implementation of projects that create vibrant environments with a focus on sustainability. This position is ideal for someone passionate about urban design, community development, and creating spaces that enhance quality of life.
**Reporting**
You will be reporting to the Placemaking, Lead.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Execution and Coordination of Placemaking Projects
- To coordinate and execute placemaking projects within the organisation.
- Assist the Placemaking Lead with the creative design and sustainable planning of spaces
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of placemaking & participatory design projects, using data and feedback to inform future initiatives.
- Prepare reports, presentations and other documentation to communicate project progress and outcomes to stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
2. Stakeholder Management
- Communicating with and understanding the client’s needs and ensuring a satisfactory experience throughout the project.
- Communicate with relevant consultants such as architects, designers, contractors and other professionals involved in the project.
- Engage with stakeholders of varying levels - community members, local businesses, government agencies and other relevant stakeholders to gather input and build support for initiatives.
3. Program Curation and Account Management
- Assist in building a bank of approved programme delivery partners for sustainable growth of placemaking activation.
- Management of funding and budgets allocated to programs.
- Work with relevant EPIC departments to organise and promote events, activities and programs that activate spaces and foster community building.
4. Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to align community engagement with organisational goals.
- Prepare and present regular reports on community growth, engagement, and feedback to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve placemaking efforts
5. Other Duties
- Preparation of proposals and grant submissions.
- Administrative tasks when required.
**Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Melayu.
- Professional proficiency in English writing.
- Basic proficiency in Digital and Microsoft or Google Workspace tools (Slides, Doc, Sheet, Meet).
- Proficiency in spatial design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp will be highly favoured.
- Community facilitation skills
- Creative ability to problem-solve.
- Skill in prioritising and triaging obligations.
- Excellent time management and organisation.
- Self-start and can-do attitude; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
- Pleasant personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have their own transport, ability to drive and travel and utilise their own laptop.
**Experience**
- 2 years working experience preferred. University graduates are welcomed to apply.
- Background in architecture, UI/UX design, interior design, construction, urban planning, social studies will be sought after.
