**SUMMARY**:
The QHSSE Coach is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and administration of Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Management Systems and enforcement of Fugro Golden Rules of HSSE on project sites / vessels, in support of Site Managers / Party Chiefs / Vessel Masters.
**BACKGROUND**:
- Qualified and functional experience in QHSSE management and / or training;
- Experience with the QHSSE obligations and requirements through a project life cycle;
- Background in / practical experience with maritime (vessel) operations, preferably survey related;
- Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, in English language, both verbal and written;
- Ability to lead and mentor project and marine crews in safe working systems and practices.
**OBJECTIVES**:
- Proactively drive QHSSE awareness and compliance, ensuring that policies, procedures and working practices are carried out in accordance with the company, statutory and regulatory principles and requirements;
- Support Project Manager / Site Manager / Party Chief / Site Supervisors on all matters pertaining to Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection in compliance with company regulations and expectations, client obligations and local legislation;
- Participate / assist in formulating Project QHSSE documentation, including but not limited to:
- Quality Plans, Execution Plans, Emergency Response Plans, HSSE Work Instructions, Risk Assessments, Management of Change, etc;
- Participate / assist in performing vessel HSSE Audit / Inspection and HSSE Inductions as and when necessary;
- Participate / assist in Permit to Work system compliance, where applicable;
- Monitor and oversee project / vessel day-to-day operations - especially non-routine tasks - and assist in ensuring compliance to company documentation and performance expectations;
- Participate in and guide project / site HSSE meetings, tool box talks, etc, driving compliance to company documentation & working practices / expectations;
- Guide and drive the effective usage of the company Business Management System (BMS), which includes procedures, work instructions, process flows, templates, documentation standards, etc;
- Coordinate, schedule and assist in project specific HSSE training / activities;
- Ensure management is advised of any deficiencies in equipment standards, operating processes & procedures, site / vessel accommodations & living conditions, etc
- Initiate appropriate action following receipt of a report of any HSSE incident;
- Report incidents to management and participate / assist in incident investigation;
- Ensure corrective and / or preventive action is taken on reported incidents and non-conformances;
- Participate / assist in ensuring the protection of Fugro assets and financial position;
- Coordinate / liaise with other HSSE personnel in the region for all matters pertaining to Quality, Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental Protection;
- Actively support and drive all company policies and standards, leading by example;
- Assists onshore QHSSE team as required when not offshore.
