Yard Executive

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Manage day to day activity of planning the Yard with mínimal housekeeping and preparing for the in / out movement with strategies
- Nominate empty containers if required by the liner for bookings and share the list to box owners and manage their inventory list
- Work on 24/7 rotational shifts, act as the control tower key personnel to meet given KPI for the truck turn around time
- Prepared to go on-ground if needed to prepare some report or to check actual situation of real time operations, guide operators when needed

**DUTIES**:

- Ensure container decking is planned to follow strictly the set yard strategy
- Maintain all yard planning related parameters /settings in the Terminal Operating System (TOS) to ensure smooth execution of operations
- Provide alternative plan in case of deviation /exception during execution to ensure with the aim of adhering to the yard strategy and established standards
- Work closely with the yard strategist and other planning staff to ensure plans are coordinated and provide best possible performance to the operations as a whole
- Manage continuous process of yard integrity and ensure yard inventory between the TOS and the Yard block management system remains on par.
- Responsible daily for ensuring that proper plan is set for the yard operation to run in a manner that achieves maximum productivity and efficiency, with 100% system integrity as it relates to equipment location.
- Reduce unproductive moves to the bare minimum required, reduce operational cost, resource optimization and traffic movement
- Monitor and fine-tune the terminal operating system to ensure that yard planning is satisfactory and meets the strategy requirements.
- Nominate empty equipment for shipment as directed by the concerned shipping line.
- Constantly seek look for ways to improve own skills level in using the terminal operating system
- Work hand in hand with other sections of the operations to achieve the department goals
- Act as an active member of the Integrated forecast movement and actively collaborate with all functions therein to ensure smooth operations executions
- The key impact of this incumbent will be the maintenance of operational efficiencies in the terminal. Responsibility for the execution of day-to-day operational activities.
- To carry out 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) practices within PKT Group of Companies.
- Perform any other assignments as and when requested by superior(s) and comply with the company's rules and regulations.

Pay: RM2,600.00 - RM3,300.00 per month
