As a Lorry Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another using large commercial vehicles, commonly referred to as lorries or trucks. Your duties will include loading and unloading cargo, adhering to traffic laws and regulations, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections. You will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods while prioritizing safety and compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Driving Responsibilities**:

- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers or distribution centers.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving.

**Cargo Handling**:

- Load and unload goods onto the lorry, ensuring proper distribution and securement of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of delivery documents and obtain signatures from customers upon delivery.
- Handle special cargo requirements, such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials, in compliance with relevant safety protocols and regulations.

**Vehicle Maintenance**:

- Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the lorry to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and inspecting brakes, lights, and other essential components.
- Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly and follow company procedures for repairs or maintenance.

**Communication and Recordkeeping**:

- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or issues.
- Accurately record and maintain logs of driving hours, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery activities in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Keep track of delivery documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid commercial driver's license (GDL) with appropriate endorsements for the type of lorry being operated.
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.
- Physical fitness and stamina to handle loading and unloading tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.
- Effective communication skills and ability to interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
