**Description**

Direct Structure, Mechanical, Piping (SMP) construction day-to-day operations in the region/local organisation to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance with the corporate objectives, strategy and plans in conjunction with the Project/Site Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Overall responsibility for all SMP construction activities with respect to performance, procedure, and making recommendations to project/site managers for improvements and corrective actions.
- Responsible for SMP construction path with integration planning for safe and on time delivery of project within budget.
- Trouble shooting of major SMP construction problems in projects.
- Manage SMP contractors/subcontractors with a focus on quality, compliance with engineering drawings, applicable code and standards, and construction schedule and cost.
- Interface and coordinate with Engineering supporting SMP construction activities
- Liaise with client and project team
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate SMP construction policies that support project construction.
- Ensuring that Quality Assurance and ISO standards are met on all SMP-related activities.
- Ensure that customer quality specifications are constantly met.
- Supervise and implement project expense, other assets and resources within budget.
- Ensure that SMP-related field instructions / variation orders are documented and invoiced.
- Ensure that organisation and government standards on safety are met.
- Allocate capital and human resources to maximise productivity.
- Set and maintain Duty of Care obligations and promotion of effective safety systems for all employees and contractors, including responsibility for correcting unsafe acts.
- Provide a safe and healthy workplace and drive adherence to safe systems of work by monitoring adherence to the company’s Safety Policy, Safety Management Plan and related procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Project Management or equivalent
- At least 4-6 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industries for EPC / construction projects
- Proven track records of successful project completion on time and on budget or exceeding expectations will be well regards.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and skills to manage large or multiple construction projects.
- Dedicated, diligent and solution-oriented personality are necessary to be successful in this position
- Strong business acumen

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
