**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity, working as our
**API & integration Technical Manager **within the Asia Pacific region. Within the role you’ll be responsible for design, build and unit/integration testing of APIs and integration.

You will have a chance to be part of new project that will build a new end-to-end
**Digital Native Insurance Platform** to enable new distribution models. Insurance offerings on this platform will be specifically designed for high levels of automation and straight through processing across the full insurance value chain.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Design of domain centric APIs
- End-to-end design & documentation of integrations using UML or other similar techniques
- Documentation of APIs using Swagger
- Technical coaching of developers
- Managing work done by developers and vendor resources - including peer reviews and adherence to design
- Driving the build, unit testing, integration testing and deployments done by developers and/or vendor resources
- Integration trouble shooting & defect analysis
- Managing the CI/CD processes (eg. configuration management, daily automated build, unit testing etc.)
- Interfacing with other teams for technical details related to integration between systems (both internal & external)
- Driving configuration of Mulesoft platform to create process APIs & experience APIs leveraging from System APIs exposed by existing or new off-the-shelf platforms
- International travel is required

**Your skills and experience**:

- 7+ years programming experience.
- Experience with **API development **using REST/JSON, Swagger & Postman
- Experience in Java programming, **JavaScript** programming, design patterns,
- Recent experience in Agile delivery/DevOps
- Knowledge of object-oriented modelling
- Sound understanding of IT project delivery and agile / DevOps methodologies
- Experience in MuleSoft highly regarded

**Skills**:

- Strong modelling & UML skills
- Hands-on experience with building APIs and integrations
- Passion for new and emerging technologies. Ability to investigate these in depth.
- Ability to understand business requirements in detail.
- Excellent communication & documentation skills.
- Ability to work with both off-the-shelf platforms and bespoke development
