Responsibilities: To prepare the list of material suppliers. To prepare & maintain the list of approved material suppliers list, manufacturers and sub-contractors. To request for quotations & materials sample from potential suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors. To evaluate the prices and quality on materials quoted by the potential suppliers, manufacturers and sub-contractors. To submit price comparison for MD's approval. To issue Purchase Orders to the approved suppliers, manufacturers and Sub-Contractors. To check quotation specifications and bid proposals from vendor for major purchases. Handling quotation inquiry and material requisition order, to ensure no delay and all inquiry meets the actual requirement as stated in the bill of quantities of the awarded tender. To identify high-margin opportunities for additional product offerings through market research and networking with subcontractors and vendors. To assist on the preparation budget estimates and monitor department expenditures. To follow-up and control on materials delivered to site compared to ordered quantities. To check Delivery Order on materials delivered to site. Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by HOD from time to time. Requirements: Applicants experienced in Main Construction industry (main contractor). Minimum Diploma / Degree or equivalent. Applicants in similar position at least 3 to 5 years in purchasing building material for building and infrastructure projects. Knowledge of UBS/SQL added advantage.
