We are seeking a skilled and passionate barista to join our team in the setup of our new cafe. As a barista, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. From crafting delicious espresso beverages to providing friendly and efficient customer service, you will contribute to the success and ambiance of our cafe.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Prepare Espresso Beverages**: Utilize your expertise to prepare high-quality espresso-based drinks such as lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos according to our recipes and standards.

2. **Maintain Coffee Equipment**: Ensure that coffee machines and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and calibrated for optimal performance.

3. **Customer Service**: Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and provide helpful recommendations based on their preferences. Deliver exceptional customer service to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.

4. **Cash Handling**: Process transactions accurately using our POS system, handle cash responsibly, and maintain proper cash-handling procedures.

5. **Quality Control**: Monitor coffee quality and freshness, ensuring that all beverages meet our high standards. Participate in regular tastings and evaluations to maintain consistency.

6. **Stock Management**: Assist in managing inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other cafe supplies. Communicate inventory needs to the management team.

7. **Cleanliness and Sanitation**: Adhere to strict cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, brewing area, and customer seating areas.

8. **Menu Development**: Collaborate with the management team to develop and refine the cafe menu, suggesting new drinks and specials based on customer preferences and industry trends.

9. **Training and Development**: Stay updated on coffee trends, techniques, and best practices. Train new team members on coffee preparation, customer service, and cafe procedures.

10. **Teamwork**: Work collaboratively with fellow baristas and cafe staff to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences. Support team members during busy periods and contribute to a positive work environment.

**Qualifications**:
1. Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role preferred.

2. Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art.

3. Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality beverages.

7. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

8. Food safety certification (preferred).

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
