Cost Accounting Manager

**Key Responsibilities**
**Cost Accounting & Analysis**
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, procedures, and controls.
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, material usage, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption.
- Prepare product costing, margin analysis, variance analysis, and profitability reporting.
- Conduct standard costing reviews and recommend cost control initiatives.
- Support pricing decisions by providing cost insights and financial modelling.
**Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Lead annual budget preparation for cost of goods sold (COGS), production expenses, and overheads.
- Provide rolling forecasts and cost projections to support business planning.
- Analyze actual results vs. budget/forecast, highlighting variances and recommending corrective actions.
**Financial Reporting & Compliance**
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports for management and HQ.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), corporate policies, and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies during audits and statutory reporting.
**Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Support**
- Supervise and develop cost accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
- Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Commercial teams to provide financial insights for efficiency and cost savings.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in cost management, ERP systems, and reporting processes.
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA preferred).
- Minimum 5 -10 years’ experience in cost accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (SAP/Oracle/Infor or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership qualities with proven ability to mentor and develop teams.
**Job Type**: Permanent
Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
