Rigger / Signalman

**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

*To report directly to HSE Manager on any lifting works, hazardous work (hot work), confined space entry, road closure or other risk works that have been scheduled or plan or request on site.

*To assist crane operator lifting and lifting supervisor/ work supervisor on preparation for lifting work/ hot work and to ensure all tools related to perfomr the risky job has been inspected and approved to use.

*To fully assist and closely coordinate with crane operator while doing lifting.

*To be standby person to watch and monitor all fulltime during any hazardous work performing at site.

*Other responsibilities assigned by the superior from time to time.

*Understand weights of equipment and rigging tools.

*Read blueprints/ plans and or create lift plans.

*Skilled at driving lifting equipment and power tools.

*Able to Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.

*To attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps while Lifting.

*To assist signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials while Lifting activity.

*Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.

*Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.

*Follow directions carefully.

*Do any additional tasks that are asked or needed to be completed.

*Check that the area around the load to be lifted is clear and that the load is not attachedto the floor, transportation cradle or adjacent equipment.

*Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.

*Direct the support of Helpers while providing training and oversight.
