To support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, in compliance with company policies and financial reporting standards.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist in daily accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, and filing of accounting documents.
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions including matching, verification, and posting.
- Prepare and maintain payment vouchers, receipts, journal entries, and other financial documents.
- Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding issues or documents.
- Ensure timely and accurate updating of accounting records in the ERP system (SAP or equivalent).
- Assist in monthly closing activities including preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and reports.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and other departments to resolve discrepancies in documentation or transactions.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date physical and electronic filing systems.
- Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation.
- Perform other administrative and accounting-related duties as assigned by the Finance Executive or Manager.
**Job Requirements**
- Minimum SPM/STPM or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- LCCI or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
- 1-2 years of working experience in an accounting or clerical role preferred.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, UBS, SQL).
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
**Working Conditions**
- Office-based role at PGEO Edible Oils Lumut Division.
- Standard working hours (Monday to Friday), with occasional overtime during closing periods.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM1,900.00 per month
