Production Supervisor

Watch the video"_ - As a healthcare company committed to protecting the health and safety of our employees, contractors, customers and communities, incoming new hires in Malaysia are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless an approved medical exemption letter has been issued by a medical specialist (not a general practitioner)._ **Roles and Responsibilities**: - Involve in the planning, directing and coordinating the operations of production; establishing priorities & monitor the progress. - Ensure good quality products are built in compliance with Agilent specification and ISO Standards. - Ensure optimum utilization of available capacity for meeting revenue and cost commitments. - Establish clear measurable goals and objectives and drive individuals and the team to continuously improve in key operational metrics (On-time delivery, DEFOA rate etc.) - Ensure that subordinate staff (line leaders, manufacturing specialist (MS), technicians and trainers) are effective in their roles. - Lead the team to solve the assurance of supply/quality issue and change process to produce greater result. - Identify all issues in team and provide continuous support according to operating standards. - Develop and maintain effective relations within the team and with cross functional team of the organization. - Accountable for the assignment and performance of subordinates, temporary staff as well as the work output of supervised operators. - Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations, appraising job results; coaching, counseling, developing personal growth opportunities and disciplining employees. - Promote individual development and continuous improvement behaviors. - Drive production team continuous improvement culture for 5S, Mistake Proof, Standard work, Kaizen, AIM and CI related program. - Drive production improvement project in Lean/6 sigma/Quality Improvement/Cycle time reduction/Scrap reduction program. - Ensure optimum production WIP inventory for continuous flow and meeting financial inventory commitment. - Ensure successful production setup for transfer/NPI project. - Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel to maintain & compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory, as well as good manufacturing practices. - Performs other related duties as directed or assigned. - Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Science or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years relevant manufacturing experience. - Preferably at least 2 years with supervisory/management experience leading/managing production operators and technicians. - Ability to multitask, prioritize and respond to varied and changing demands focusing on continuous improvement for customer needs. - Disciplined self-accountable, initiative to start projects in line with team’s objectives and demonstrated high proficiency in managing multiple projects to be completed on time. - Requires strong passion in people, to lead and influence for positive change to deliver consistent business result. - Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills for working across departments, clearly and concisely deliver instructions to the production team. Must also be able to deal with team-management issues quickly and effectively. - Strong analytical skills along with solid understanding of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, able to spot problems within the manufacturing process quickly and take appropriate action to rectify. - Requires strong management skill and ability to design and execute processes, projects and tactics. - Strong in time management to ensure production team is working in the most time-efficient way and with the least downtime possible. - Decision making abilities to make decisions quickly, under pressure, after careful assessment of all available information. - Certified Lean Six Sigma would be an advantage. - Knowledge in Industrial Engineering, SAP and SQL Programming would be a plus. - Agilent Technologies Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
