**Job Title**:Chargeman (AO)**

**Job Overview**:
The Chargeman (AO) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of electrical installations, equipment, and systems in accordance with local regulations. They ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all electrical systems and ensure that they are in compliance with the Energy Commission's standards and guidelines. This role involves troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems in the facility.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operation of Electrical Systems**:

- Ensure that electrical systems and equipment are operated in accordance with established safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Oversee the operation of high-voltage electrical installations and maintain optimal functionality.
- **Maintenance and Repairs**:

- Perform regular maintenance checks on electrical systems, including transformers, distribution boards, circuit breakers, and other high-voltage electrical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, ensuring mínimal downtime for operations.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with all electrical safety regulations and procedures as outlined by the Energy Commission (EC) and local regulatory authorities.
- Implement safety measures to avoid electrical accidents or hazards.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and tests on electrical equipment and systems.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain accurate records of electrical system operations, maintenance schedules, and repairs.
- Prepare and submit reports regarding electrical system status, incidents, and safety inspections.
- Document safety procedures and report any safety violations or electrical issues to management.
- **Supervision and Training**:

- Supervise electrical technicians or junior staff involved in electrical work.
- Provide guidance and training on safe electrical practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist in ensuring that staff members are up to date with safety regulations and electrical best practices.
- **Coordination with Other Departments**:

- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., facility management, engineering, safety) to ensure smooth operations and resolve any electrical-related issues promptly.
- Provide technical expertise and support during the installation of new electrical systems or equipment.
- **Emergency Response**:

- Respond to electrical emergencies or failures promptly, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Manage electrical shutdowns or outages efficiently, restoring power with mínimal disruption.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure that all electrical installations comply with the latest national standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain certifications and qualifications required by the Energy Commission and other relevant authorities.

**Key Requirements**:

- **Education**:

- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Certified as a Chargeman (AO) by the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) in Malaysia.
- **Experience**:

- At least 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
- Experience in managing high-voltage electrical systems and equipment.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and safety regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults.
- Good understanding of local electrical standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- **Certifications**:

- Chargeman (AO) certification from the Energy Commission (Suruhanjaya Tenaga) in Malaysia.
- Other relevant safety or electrical qualifications.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM3,000.00 per month
