1. Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers. 2. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. 3. Document and log work/ rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. 4. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods etc) as well as with company policies and procedures. 5. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. 6. Collect and verify delivery instructions. 7. Report defects, accidents or violations. 8. Follow route and time schedule. 9. Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients’ complaints. 10. Inform on new products and services. 11. Follow DOT regulations and safety standards. 12. Keep vehicle clean and maintained at all times.
