**Job Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain data quality standards and controls.
- Define and manage metadata and data lineage in tools like Microsoft Purview to ensure a comprehensive understanding of data and its usage.
- Monitor data quality metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and maintain data cataloging in Microsoft Purview, including data definitions, business terms, data mappings, and data lineage.
- Work with data owners and stewards to define and manage data ownership and access control policies.
- Develop and deliver training and education programs to promote data governance best practices across the organization.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data governance, with at least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Purview.
- In-depth knowledge of data governance concepts, practices, and tools.
- Experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data cataloging in Microsoft Purview.
- Familiarity with data quality assessment frameworks and data quality tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Must have
- Experience with Data Governance Solutions.
- Thorough understanding of data modeling, data integration and data warehousing
- Nice to have
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, CCPA, or HIPAA.
- Experience with data management frameworks, such as DAMA DMBoK or CMMI-Data Management.
