Understand current market trends and buying psychology - Defining the company merchandising,assortment strategies and business goals together with the management team and accountable for archieving the company targets - Develop strategies using various marketing techniques to increase product sales for the company - Set the company merchandising policy for subordinate to perform such as Merchandise concept,Promotion campaign,Adjust the price,Allocate the area for each product group, Inventory and Replenishment,etc.Including approve the plan from subordinate. - Requlary analyze and review the sales, profit and inventory of the company and compare to the target. - Develop business grow and improvement plans,produce monthly reports and research product implementation assist in pricing,budgeting and creating profit and loss statements. - Guide buying operations on best practices in merchandising,discuss departmental direction moving forward and identify areas that need improvement - Negotiate the cost with suppliers of each products - Supervising the work of staffs within the organization according to the policies,targets and project schedule. - Provide counseling on the job training and knowledge transfer to subordinates. Be the mentor to the team on strong leadership and merchandising practices. - Research and assess the competitive landscape to identify and implement new ideas and processes - Implement new initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Buying areas as needed to increase the productivity of the team - Working closely with other departments such as sourcing,operation,marketing in order to achieve the company goals and targets. - Assis along with the human resource department in the staffing and recruitment of the department to meet current and projected workflow The AVP of merchandise provides leadership and direction in the development of the business strategy and product assortment,in alignment with the customer.This position requires an energinizing and collaborative leadership style that balance accountability and results,within a culture of empowerment and people development.This position is results orientated and success is measured against financial plans as benchmarks,balanced by performance in the larger competitive landscape This role requires a strong ability to develop and lead the merchandising strategies to maximize merchandising impact and drive sales.
